1099 Locums Position

Schedule:
Coverage Dates (Specific, long term): July-September 2024.
Schedule Details (Shift Duration & Coverage Model (Rounders, Admits, or Both): 10 hour shifts; single, double and triple physician coverage depending on time of day
Shift Times: 8A-6P & 5P-3A
Program Model (# of providers in practice): 11 physicians and 5 APPs
Call Schedule/Responsibilities: No call, only scheduled shifts

Practice Details:
Patients per Day/Volume (rounding): average 120 patients a day; see about 1.7 patients per hour
Number of Hospital beds: 140
Trauma Level: No trauma level.
Transfers (Helicopter, Ground, Where to?): We can transfer by ground or air; mainly transfer to Temple but do transfer to 3-4 other academic centers in the area
Run Codes (If yes, list responsibilities): Only run codes in the ED
Back up specialties to EM Department: Cardiology, neurology, nephrology, orthopedics, surgery, GYN (but not OB), heme/onc
EMR: EPIC Scribes (Yes or No): No
Fast Track (Yes or No): Yes Fast Track – Hours & Volume: 8a-11p; approximately 50-60 patients a day
Fast Track – Who Covers? (Doctors or Mid-Level): Mainly APPs but physicians cover if needed

Requirements:

• Life Support (ACLS, ATLS, PALS, BLS): PAs need BLS and ACLS; NPs need BLS, ACLS and PALS
• Procedures: laceration repairs, incision and drainage of abscesses, splinting
• PA license
• DEA
