Portland area: PSYCHIATRIC NP/PA invited to join thriving private PEDIATRICS group in Lewiston, Maine’s 2nd largest city

Lewiston, Maine: We invite a compassionate PSYCHIATRIC NURSE PRACTITIONER or PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT to join a big PEDIATRICS practice in Maine’s second largest city, just 40 minutes from Portland. This highly respected private group dominates the pediatric market in this region – providing care for infants through teens and young adults. They have a busy outpatient practice with more than a dozen providers in their kid-friendly standalone building.

The group has one Physician Assistant and one Physician currently providing mental health care services for their patients on a full time basis, and other providers offering some mental health care as time/scheduling permits. Responding to a decrease in other resources, they are ready to add another practitioner to meet community needs. In this setting, you will help support patients with childhood behavioral issues, along with adolescents and young adults who need care in areas such as depression, anxiety, and other mental health concerns. This is an important and rewarding outpatient role working with young patients and their families, providing assessments, diagnostics and treatment plans, along with counseling and medication management.
