Position Overview:

• Engage in a comprehensive continuum of care role
• Enjoy plenty of dedicated time in the operating room alongside esteemed surgeons.
• Undertake first assist duties with the opportunity for autonomous practice when required.
• Specialize in vein harvesting, both traditional and endoscopic techniques.
• Perform openings and closures, as well as the removal of various medical devices.
• Conduct hospital consults and participate in inpatient rounding, including in the CVICU.
• Prescribe necessary orders and medications and provide patient education and discharge patients as needed.
• Fulfill outpatient clinic responsibilities, providing pre and post-operative care as assigned.
• Share on-call duties with surgeon and PA colleagues on a 1:3 rotation basis.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current NP/PA experience in cardiovascular/thoracic Operating Room.
• Proficiency in both open and endoscopic vein harvesting techniques.
• Familiarity with critical care protocols, including Pleur-evac and chest tube management.
