Locum Tenens Nocturnist Opportunity - Fort Wayne, IN

VeloSource has a Nocturnist opportunity open to Physicians in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

- Covers own patients from 7 AM until 7 PM

- Takes sign out from the nocturnist during 7am morning sign off, accepts admissions from 7AM-6PM

- Night: 5 PM- 5AM Night Physician

- Accepts transfer calls 5PM until 5AM

- Finishes up their work during the last hour of the shift (no new admits)

- Expected to see about 15-20 admissions between the 2 admitting physicians

- Responds to all RRT

- Need to document in Cerner details of events and assessment

- 7 PM - 7AM Admitter Physician

- Accepts transfer calls

- Will distribute new admissions to the 7PM doctor and themselves in a round-robin fashion

- Expected take last admission at 6AM

- Assign geographical rounding for day shift by 6:30AM

- Signs off unseen patients (from ED or directs that have not arrived) to the 7AM Admitter Service

- Intensivist responds to codes

- Hospitalist required to respond to their own patients

- Hospitalist is responsible for APP supervision
